Claire Dorfman is the Assistant Director of the Mexico Documentation Project, which seeks to obtain declassified US and other government records concerning US policy in Mexico and US-Mexico relations, with an emphasis on issues related to security, migration, the drug war, democracy and human rights.
Claire is based in Mexico City, where she has worked as an archivist and researcher since 2018. She previously managed document and photography collections in New York and Buenos Aires. Claire is a contributor to Legacy of Lies, a book of photographs and essays from the civil war in El Salvador by the photojournalist Robert Nickelsberg, set to publish in March 2024 from Kehrer Verlag.
