The Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Agency (CISA) defines the Defense Industrial Base as "the worldwide industrial complex that enables research and development, as well as design, production, delivery, and maintenance of military weapons systems, subsystems, and components or parts, to meet U.S. military requirements."
