Critical Infrastructure – Water and Wastewater Systems

According to the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Agency (CISA), the Water and Wastewater Sector is comprised of roughly 153,000 public drinking water systems and more than 16,000 publicly owned wastewater treatment systems in the United States, supplying drinking water to more than 80 percent of the U.S. population, and sanitary sewage to about 75 percent.
