To the Executive Committee of the Third Communist International in Moscow Comrades We inform you that after long debates which have highlighted the situation of our party from all points of view in the context of present events the congress of the Romanian Socialist Party that took place in Bucharest on 12th May 1921 concluded that “the tactical principles of the Communist International are the only revolutionary principles the Communist International’s strategy is directed against the existing social order in all its complexity and analysing ours through the real Scientific Marxism the implementation of this strategy will lead the proletarian victory in its fight with the bourgeoisie” Therefore the congress decided with a majority of 428 votes to affiliate the party to the Third Communist International unconditionally despite the minority of just 111 votes of the “centrists” who voted for the affiliation with some reservation Due to the fact that after this decision all the delegates who voted for the affiliation without reservation have been immediately arrested by the Romanian bourgeoisie we inform you about our affiliation And to ensure that this affiliation will be translated into facts in the name of the Executive Committee of the Party in present under arrest and in the name of the provisional Executive Committee which is free and currently functions we consider the Romanian Socialist Party as affiliated from now on to the Third Communist International member of the communist family and therefore called the Communist Party in Romania We kindly ask you to inform us about all the decisions adopted by the Executive Committee of the Communist International and by the congresses of the Communist International in order to implement them and at the same time to give us advice on the orientation of our future activities Long Live the Third Communist International Long Live the Russian Revolution With Communist wishes Secretary Gheorghe Cristescu 1
